Hi, I’m Jess Chilmaid — founder of Lion Accounts and your friendly, enthusiastic accounting partner. I like to think of myself as a human ray of sunshine with a calculator! While I’m an experienced accountant, what truly sets me apart is my passion for people. I love making genuine connections and learning what drives the individuals behind the businesses I support.
That passion is what led to the creation of Lion Accounts. After years working in traditional accountancy practices, I came to a realisation: compliance is important, but it shouldn’t be the whole story. The real value lies in understanding clients — their goals, their challenges, and their dreams. I wanted to build something different: an accounting firm where people come first, and the numbers follow.
